The property (with the green front door) is in a canalside cul-de-sac located right in the heart of Oxford within easy walking distance of vibrant restaurants and clubs. It is a great place to stay for a get-together, or for Christmas or a wedding, just use your imagination and find an excuse to spend a few days in Oxford. This Victorian cottage sleeps 7 in 2 doubles and a twin, with an extra small single room with a Futon Company chairbed + a travel cot for smaller people. It is fully equipped with linen and so on, and has a washer and a separate dryer. There is no dishwasher, so you can eat all meals out or have a fun time washing up! There is a washing line in the garden to save on electricity bills if you are so minded though there is a tumble dryer.
There are great walks from the house, to Port Meadow, up the canal to Aristotle lane playground, down the river to the Isis Tavern, or you can hop on a bus to Blenheim.

There are places to hire bikes, plenty of theatre and culture as well as a vibrant music and comedy scene. Hythe Bridge street which is adjacent has a couple of clubs including the Glee Club and the Bridge as well as 2 extremely good Chinese restaurants, SoJo and The Paddyfield and the Thai restaurant, Bangkok House. The Oxford Retreat is the nearest restaurant and is a fun bistro with a lovely deck for the summer months and a great bar all year round. George Street is nearby with the usual chains, and the New Theatre for big shows including comedy, dance, opera (see link) and the Odeon Cinema. Gloucester Green is behind George street, and has 2 markets every week, with one of them being a Farmers' Market fortnightly (1st and 3rd Thursday).

Rates: From £240 a night weekdays, £350 pn for a 2 night weekend depending on the dates. £40 surcharge per night for midweek lets of 1 or 2 nights. Weekly from £1500 to £1750 or negotiable for lets of longer than 2 weeks. Sabbatical lets also possible if the house is available. Rates all inclusive of bills, linen, wifi etc. A refundable damage/security deposit is charged on booking. Last minute availability is discounted heavily and if the calendar shows availability it is always worth enquiring as we would rather have occupancy than vacancy!
